One of my co-workers and colleagues in UP, Cachie, lent me this book: Domino: The Book of Decorating to appease my boredom on days wherein there's not much work to do. It contains tips and tricks on how to spruce up each room in the house and mix-and-match items without looking displaced. It can also apply to other building types such as retail establishments or your wardrobe. Perfect if you are looking for something different to read.
Playing with laminates and colors are also one of the things I look forward to with work.
Design inspiration comes from different places. In this case, Ayala Ave., near my workplace. Thankfully, I was able to experience walking alongside it at 3 pm in the afternoon because of an impromptu site visit. It was a pleasant experience in spite of the time of the day I was there. The trees, separating the main road from the side walk, prevent pedestrians from experiencing the heat. The buildings lining it is in perfect proportion with the width of the road, making the avenue seem grander than the way it is.
Hopefully, this is a signal of a great start for my career as a designer (interior, architecture or fashion). I'm looking forward to discovering new things or old ones which would make our lived space better.
